Trailside Recovery Coaching

Working together

The practical shape of it, so you know what you would be agreeing to.

First, a conversation

Before anything is booked or paid for, we talk — about what you are looking for, whether this is the right fit, and what it costs. If it is not a fit I will say so. That conversation is not a commitment on either side.

Where we meet

In person on the Front Range, or online anywhere in Colorado — whichever you will actually keep.

In person is better when it can happen, and online is better than a meeting you skip because of a drive. Plenty of people do both depending on the week. Working with people outside Colorado may come later; right now it does not.

How often

Whatever cadence you will actually keep. Weekly suits most people starting out. A rhythm you can hold beats an ambitious one you cannot.

What we do

You bring what is in front of you. We talk it through. You leave having decided something — usually small and specific, because those are the ones that get done. Next time I ask about it. That is most of it, honestly; the value is in it being regular and in the person across from you having been there, not in a technique.

What it costs

Fees are discussed in the first conversation, before anything is booked. Nothing is charged before you have agreed to it in writing.

Before we start

There is a written agreement covering scope, fees, cancellation, confidentiality and its limits, and what happens in a crisis. You get it in advance, not on the day. Nothing begins until it is signed.

Ending it

You can stop at any point and you do not owe me a reason. If I think you need something this is not — therapy, medical care, a different kind of support — I will tell you plainly, and that conversation is part of the job rather than a failure of it.

Peer recovery coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical care. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or provide psychotherapy or medical advice, and it is not an emergency service.
